EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- The Washington Redskins and New York Giants played to a scoreless stalemate in the second half, but that was all the Giants needed. In a game when all the scoring was done by halftime, the defending Super Bowl Champs opened the National Football League season with a 16-7 victory over the visiting Redskins tonight.
